The Faces Behind Zelaya

After years of international travels as a principal buyer for some of the top department stores in the country, including Nordstrom, Tony Zelaya found himself wondering if there weren’t a better way to bring the best of shoes to Downtown Bethesda.

After an inspiring meeting with Fabiana Mesquita and Andrea Paro-Sandler, the owners of Daisy Too, Zelaya Shoes was born. Tony’s dream of brining the women of Bethesda the same brands and selections of fine shoes that were so hard to find in the Bethesda Metro area is alive and well--in a sun-filled boutique behind Daisy Too Clothing.

Over the year, Daisy Too opened Daisy Baby and Mommies Too, a baby and children’s store that offers clothing, bedding, and furniture. And with new additions to their businesses came new additions in their personal lives. For Tony and Fabiana, much more came from that first meeting than just a work relationship. Tony and Fabiana later married and are blessed with their first child, a son, Nicolas Anthony Zelaya
